Work counter workbench + counter, 2′0″–3′0″ deep, up to 8′0″ long
Toolbox 2′0″ deep, up to 6′0″ long
Vehicle sizes used (mirrors folded): small car 14′6″ × 6′0″ · mid-size / small SUV 16′0″ × 6′6″ · full-size pickup (crew cab, short box) 20′0″ × 6′8″. Each vehicle keeps clear: 3′0″ each side and between vehicles (to open the doors), a 3′0″ walkway at its nose and 2′0″ behind it at the overhead door. Counter and toolbox stay out of that room, the door openings and swings, and the loft stairs and landing. Check your own vehicles’ sizes.
Choose your garage size
A loft garage is taller, so check the height limit and zoning with your municipality. The preview shows 11′ walls with a 9′ ceiling, the loft floor on top (2′ knee wall), a gambrel roof, movable loft stairs and the loft plan. The full loft plan sheets come with the paid PDF.

Car lift / hoist: a 2-post lift typically needs about 12 ft or more of clear height. Taller walls may need taller overhead doors and engineered trusses — confirm with your lift maker and truss supplier.
Siding style is shown on the drawings for looks only; the siding material is the owner's choice.

You get a printable PDF (11×17 in): seven numbered sheets A.01–A.07 that you may bring to your building department if you apply for a permit — cover, code and loft stairs note, dimensioned floor plan with the door and window schedule, front/side/rear elevations, header & sill schedule, header details and typical foundation details (not engineered), each with a title block — plus pages for your own use: a Material list, a permit checklist, a page listing which sheets you may bring to your building department, and the full disclaimer with your acceptance record on the last page. Material dollar amounts on the Material list appear only after you enter your postal code / ZIP. The drawing sheets carry no material costs. The plan must be reviewed against your local building code and may need an engineer's or designer's stamp where required.
